1850 census of Pickens County, Alabama shows Wiley Taylor to be a farmer and his worth $1700 dollars. His mother Jane Taylor was living with him and ws listed as having been born in North Carolina. Interesting Facts:

Andrew Alonzo Anderson was known as Alonzo. On September 19, 1917 his car stalled on Spring Hill Rd. on a hill. He got out to crank it up (in those days you had to hand crank the car by turning a handle placed on the front of the car) and while doing so the car started and rolled over him. He was drug down the hill to the bottom where he died. He is buried in the Stinson Cemetery marked only with a stone just a few hundred yards from where his car had killed him.

Thomas Marion Jones and his wife Harriet Richmond Baines (Banes) ran a store on Spring Hill Rd. from the late 1880's until their deaths. Their daughter and son-in-law (Laura Evelyn Jones and Mike Schablien) then ran the store living in the apartment above the store until their deaths.

John G. Atwood Jr. was known by his middle name, Gratton and was a Doctor. He married Ruth Miller in the 1930's.

Therrill Taylor the son of Mary Callie Jones may have been known as Therrin. He was seriously injured as a young man when in the late 1920's while installing gas lights in his Aunt Cennie Bell Jones Anderson's home there was an explosion.

Update: 2 March 2008.  A daughter of Therrill Taylor submits that the preceding paragraph may be in error.  She indicates that her father would have been only 2 or 3 years old at the time of the explosion.  The injured man may have been Les Taylor.  He became the First Vice President of the Mississippi Power and Light Company.  Mr. Taylor's daughter lived with Les and Velma Anderson Taylor for a lengthy period of time while her father (Therrill) recuperated from an injury he suffered aboard a ship he was working out of New Orleans.  This accident occurred about 1947.
